Races: halfling

Halflings, also known as Hobbits to some, appear much like humans, however, 
they have several defining features.  They have cherubic faces, with plump
cheeks and ready smiles, and commonly appear akin to human teens.

The tallest halfling in recorded history, was Olwin Stubtoe, who grew to
an impressive four feet, six inches in height (recorded in 1089),
and has yet to be reproduced.  Halfling males will be between 3'9" and 4'0",
while the females grow to nearly those heights, but are slightly shorter.

Halflings, as a whole, have a keen eye for aiming their weapons.  Gron Haireye
claimed, in 882, that it was due to their height, being shorter was being
better.  They are also known to be quick of foot.

While being hard workers, the halflings know how to throw a good party, and
do so quite often.  This has led them to fits of irrationality, and quite
a few days lying in bed, sleeping off hangovers.

Depending on ancient heritage, some halflings have a tendency to have slightly
above average vision in the darkness.  The scholars have been researching,
attempting to find a link between ancestral blood line, and the improved
vision, but have failed to find anything as of yet.
